Washington policy watcher Declan McCullagh tallies up the possible action of communications bills sitting in front of Congress and surmises that not much is likely to happen. Amongst the more pernicious bills, McCullough reports that “House Majority Leader Dick Armey has flatly said that Hollings’ idea of forcibly implanting copy-protection in electronic devices has zero chance in the lower chamber of Congress.” Here’s to hoping he’s right.
