I just got back from

  • I just got back from the Grassroots Radio Conference 5 hosted by WORT in Madison, WI. It was very fun and productive, and I got to meet a lot of interesting people in community radio and low-power/pirate radio, including Jon Anderson over at About.com, Pete Tri Dish from Mutiny Radio and the Prometheus Project, and Christopher Maxwell from Radio Free Richmond (VA). I taped some interviews that I’ll post for air and listening on-line in the next couple of weeks, and try to post some reflections and comments on the conference.
    Overall I’d say it was a valuable experience, especially for how it helps forge an alliance between all types of community and grassroots broadcasters, whether from big cities, small towns, licensed or unlicensed. I’m already looking forward to GRC6.
