Wired News reports that NewsWatch.org,

  • Wired News reports that NewsWatch.org, one of the better media watchdog sites, has called it quits due to a lack of funding.
    It amazes and saddens me that $1 million in seed funding is only enough to run a web site of this sort for 2 years. By comparison, a community station like WEFT spends that much in about 8-10 years, and larger stations, like KBOO in Portland go through $2M in a about 3.
    And I thought the Internet was supposed to make things like this cheaper and easier than possible with “old media.”
