Indecency Overdose

For those who lose sleep worrying about all those indecency complaints the FCC hasn’t acted on yet this year, there’s more indecency pr0n to satisfy your yearnings. The FCC’s Enforcement Bureau has launched a site dedicated to the holy trinity of Obscenity, Indecency and Profanity.

Crucial for those with a burning passion to report an offensive broadcast, the FCC now provides more clear instructions for filing an indecency complaint.

The site also provides some statistics on complaints and fines issued since 1993, though data for complaints filed 1993-1998 are incomplete.

The site is still pretty bare as of yet, which leads me to wonder if we’ll see more on the site once the FCC’s new indecency czarina and anti-porn Republican soldier Peggy Nance gets a little more settled.

Odds are that the lack of fines so far this year is just the calm before the indecency shit-storm.

Correction: According to Broadcasting and Cable, indeed Peggy Nance is behind the new OIP website.
