I bought my H2 the day they came out and got on a plane 24 hours later to Tanzania. It held up great and I got a number of good field recordings, including a few impromptu hip-hop sessions with local kids. It has completely replaced my Sony MZ-R55 and I feel that a long last there is a good solution for deadline tight field recording for radio news. It is, as someone else on the web said, the $200 point and shoot camera of audio recording. That sounds like a put down until you consider that really the alternatives before were a disposable cardboard Kodak camera and a $1,000 DSLR.
